The open-source sets
Some sets are part of our Creative Commons 4.0 licenses. We have open-sourced them so that everyone can design beautiful products. We will explicitly mention if a set is licensed under CC by 4.0 in the description. Other free sets aren't open-source
When you use our open-source sets, you are required to make an attribution. You must give appropriate credits and provide a link to https://streamlinehq.com.
Free but not open-source sets
All our icons, illustrations, emojis, and elements are free to download and use straight away as low-resolution PNG files.
We also give away some vector sets for free (UI Icons Line, Kawaii Emoji, Freemoji, etc..)
✅ This license allows for the free use of our PNG or SVG icons and illustrations for commercial projects, whether for personal use or on behalf of a client.
✅ You can use these assets in unlimited projects, including templates, website and application design, and even logos.
License limitations
The free license is aimed at using our icons and illustrations in small projects (such as graphic design and website navigation), but it is not a way to integrate our icons as assets that users can use in their application, such as a web builder.
You cannot use our icons in an application as assets available for users. For example, you cannot use them in a webpage builder, or a 'Canva style' app that allows users to integrate our icons or illustrations in a design/document.
Creating an attribution link
1. Generally, use this model for the attribution link:
The link should be easily readable as hyperlink text, like "Free icons from Streamline" or "Free illustrations from Streamline."
The link should direct to https://streamlinehq.com.
2. More specific cases depending on the following medium:
🌐 Web applications and websites | Include a link to our website on all pages where our icons are used (you may place it in your footer). If space is limited, you can put the link on a Credits or About page. |
📱 Desktop and Mobile Apps | Add the proper credit in the "About" or "Credits" page. |
📖 Other contents like books, videos, images, T-shirts, Word, Excel, PDF. | Add the link anywhere in the document or product. If promoting online, include Free icons from Streamline or Free illustrations from Streamline in the description. |
Redistribution
Redistributing our open-source content is encouraged. You can add Streamline's vector SVGs to your software and extend them to your end users. Not all free sets are open-source so please check the set description to be sure of it. Use a standard approach to link to Streamline from every page that features our assets. Do not squeeze in a 'no-follow' attribute.
No attribution or backlink is required if you upgrade to our premium plans.
