The Streamline Free License allows you to use Streamline’s free assets in personal and commercial projects, subject to the attribution requirements and usage limits outlined below.
You can use free assets in projects such as:
Graphic design
Websites
Applications
Presentations

Attribution Requirements
Attribution is required for all assets used under the Streamline Free License, not just open-source sets.
When using free Streamline assets, you must:
Give appropriate credit to Streamline
Include a link to https://streamlinehq.com
Creating an attribution link
1. Generally, use this model for the attribution link:
The link should be easily readable as hyperlink text, like "Free icons from Streamline" or "Free illustrations from Streamline."
The link should direct to https://streamlinehq.com.
2. More specific cases depending on the following medium:
🌐 Web applications and websites | Include a link to our website on all pages where our icons are used (you may place it in your footer). If space is limited, you can put the link on a Credits or About page. |
📱 Desktop and Mobile Apps | Add the proper credit in the "About" or "Credits" page. |
📖 Other contents like books, videos, images, T-shirts, Word, Excel, PDF. | Add the link anywhere in the document or product. If promoting online, include Free icons from Streamline or Free illustrations from Streamline in the description. |
Open-Source Sets
Some Streamline sets are released under open-source licenses, including Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
When a set is licensed under CC BY 4.0, this will be explicitly stated in the set description.
Note: Not all Free Sets are open source.
When using an open-source set, you must also follow the requirements of the specific open-source license associated with that set.
Free but Not Open-Source Sets
Streamline also provides Free Sets that are not open source. These assets are available under the Streamline Free License.

These assets can be used in personal and commercial projects, including work created on behalf of a client, provided that you follow the attribution requirements and usage limits of the Free License.
License limitations
The Streamline Free License is intended for using our assets as part of your own finished designs and products. It does not allow you to make Streamline assets available for your users to select, customize, download, or reuse as standalone design resources.
You cannot use Free Assets as an asset library in:
Website or webpage builders
Canva-style design applications
Design or document editors where users can select Streamline assets
Applications that allow users to download or reuse Streamline assets
Other products that redistribute Streamline assets as reusable design resources
In short: Streamline assets should be incorporated into your finished project rather than redistributed or made available to your users as an asset library.
Downloads of Free Assets are unlimited. However, usage is limited to the following per project:
50 icons
25 illustrations
25 elements
25 emojis
Free Asset Formats and Premium Previews
The available file formats depend on whether the asset belongs to a Free Set or is a free preview from a Premium Set.
Free Sets: Users can access and download assets in SVG, PNG, JSX, WEBPH, and PDF formats.
Premium Set previews: Free access is limited to low-resolution PNG files:
Icons: up to 48px
Illustrations: up to 400px
Elements: up to 250px
SVG files are available for assets that belong to an actual Free Set. To access vector formats from Premium Sets, a paid license is required.
Redistribution
Redistributing our open-source content is encouraged. You can add Streamline's vector SVGs to your software and extend them to your end users. Not all free sets are open-source so please check the set description to be sure of it. Use a standard approach to link to Streamline from every page that features our assets. Do not squeeze in a 'no-follow' attribute.
No attribution or backlink is required if you upgrade to our premium plans.
